Where: Sloans Ballroom, 62 Argyll Arcade, 108 Argyle St, Glasgow G2 8BG
More information:

Join us for the first of two concerts of historical Scottish music, performed in the 1797 ballroom of Glasgow’s Sloans Bar, featuring an exciting collaboration between trad and early music performers.

Take a journey back to 1720s Edinburgh, with a programme centred around poet and playwright Allan Ramsay (c. 1694-1758). Trad singers Iona Fyfe and Alasdair Roberts perform Ramsay’s Scots songs from the seminal collection The Tea-Table Miscellany, with David McGuinness, Aaron McGregor and Eric Thomas playing Scots tune settings by Ramsay’s musical circle, including William McGibbon and John Clerk of Penicuik. Bring your instruments for an informal session after the concert.

Tickets (£20, £10 concessions) available HERE
