It’s not often I can sit in front of a screen for long without getting bored and wanting to do something: I’ve pretty much given up on watching movies unless I’m on holiday. But last night I was unexpectedly transfixed for four whole hours by the live streaming of Einstein of the Beach from Paris (I missed the first 40 minutes or so and caught that later). It’s here: take half a day off, put it on the biggest screen and speakers that you can find and settle down with a beer or two. Following it live on twitter was fun too of course …

I felt like I deserved four hours off after getting a funding application in on time yesterday for a summer 2015 project: more on that if we’re successful.
